Version 5.16k Update

Instructions:

This update applies to all Pocket PC processor types. You must already be running Version 5.0 or higher of PDspect™. Make sure that your Pocket PC is connected to your desktop PC before beginning the installation.

Download the file below and run it.

To run the file, open Windows Explorer and locate the downloaded file. Either double click the file or select it by single clicking the file and press the 'Enter' key.

Version 5.16g includes updates for Inspector, Picture Album and Inspection Designer

Version 5.16k adds the following improvements

  • Added a new Choose Template window to make selection of templates easier.
  • Added new merge fields at the Inspection and Category levels for {{All Notes}} with additional options to add keywords ("Prompt", "New Line", "Extra Space" and "Category Name") to the merge field for additional behaviors.
    For example: {{All Notes}} = "Note 1, Note 2, Note 3".

  • Added an option to to not have categories automatically replace categories with the same name during the import process.
  • Removed the 2" margin limit when woriking with text pieces designated to automatically start a new line.
  • Added a new line level scope merge field. A line level merge field is denoted with double parens For example: ((Field Name)). Added new program merge fields:
    ((Rating)) - The answer from the first Rating piece in the line
    ((Prompt)) - The prompt from the first QA piece in the line
    ((Answer)) - The answer from the first QA piece in the line
    ((Note)) - The answer from the first Note piece in the line
    ((All Answers)) - All answers from the line similar to what would be in the summary.
    ((Summary Prompt)) - Text describing the line as it would currently appear in the summary.
  • Added an option to automatically generate emails upon submission of an inspection to the on-line database. More detailed documentation is available upon request with instructions on how to set this up.
  • Added a new Inspection Level merge field {{Summary Text}} containing the entire report summary in text form.

Version 5.16k fixes the following issues

  • Fixed the issue where picture decorations would not appear under certain circumstances.
  • Fixed the issue with the right margin when using exact placement in Text pieces.
  • Fixed the rounding issues with relation to exact placement entries.
  • Fixed the issue with text pieces appearing in the summary created by update 5.16d.
  • Fixed the issue with the Note window incorrectly displaying the default data font if special print settings are assigned in the template.
  • Fixed the issue in Inspection Designer with Exact Placement of Signatures.
  • Fixed the issue where the program would enter an infinite search when a merge field was inproperly formed (for example "{{Field Name}").
  • Modified the HTML export process to better format multiline entries so that HTML rendering would look more like the original.
